At the corner of College Avenue and Main Street in downtown Blacksburg you will find Henderson Lawn, a peaceful hillside where students and local residents alike eat lunch, meet up with friends, or just sit down and relax.

On the evening of January 30, 2017, however, Henderson Lawn became the gathering place of hundreds of peaceful demonstrators expressing their opinions about Donald Trump’s executive order on immigration and Mr. Trump’s plans for a border wall between the United States and Mexico.
